IDEA Services in Tauranga is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with intellectual disabilities achieve daily living goals, build independence, and participate in meaningful community activities.

You will support daily routines, transportation, and social connections, with rostered shifts including sleepovers and wakeovers; a full NZ driver's licence is required. Join a compassionate team dedicated to positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in support work, caregiving, or personal care; preferred but not essential.
• Able to stay calm under pressure and support people with complex needs.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to build relationships.

Responsabilités

• Recognise and respond to emotional overwhelm and support wellbeing.
• Help people grow independence and learn daily living skills.
• Assist with daily routines including toileting, showering, dressing, medications, and meals.
• Support people to pursue goals, interests and hobbies.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and community connections.
