IDEA Services in Tauranga is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with intellectual disabilities live active, independent lives. You will work varied shifts, including weekends every fortnight, and assist with daily tasks, transport, meals, and social activities.

If you are caring, resilient and eager to learn, join our team. Prior experience is preferred; attitude, adaptability and building relationships with participants and whānau are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in support work, caregiving, or personal care preferred.
• Calm under pressure and able to support people with complex needs.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and build meaningful relationships.
• Availability to work shifts across mornings, evenings, sleepovers and weekends.
• Comfortable using computers and tablets daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Full NZ driver's license is required.
