Job summary

IDEA Services supports adults with intellectual disabilities to live in their own homes and enjoy life as part of their communities. As a Support Worker, you will assist clients with complex needs, manage risk, ensure safety and provide one-to-one care during the night.

The role requires resilience, the ability to handle challenging behaviours and a calm, patient approach. Strong communication, a full NZ driver's licence and rights to work in NZ are essential; weekend availability and local

Qualifications

• Preferably previous experience in caregiving or providing personal care for adults.
• Availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional sleepover shifts.
• Full NZ driver's license.
• Full rights to work in NZ.
• Must live locally.
• A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with intellectual disabilities in their homes to achieve goals and aspirations.
