Job summary

Access Community Health in Blenheim is seeking a Kaiāwhina/Support Worker to assist tāngata at home with daily living and personal care, honoring culture, values and boundaries. No prior experience is required; comprehensive paid training starts soon.

Flexible hours fit study or family commitments, with weekend shifts available. You should enjoy helping people, be responsive to needs, own a smartphone, have NZ work rights, and hold a valid driver’s license.

• Must be able to provide safe, respectful, person-centered support in people’s homes.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with their daily living activities in their homes, respecting culture, values, beliefs and routines.
• Provide safe, respectful, person-centered care while maintaining boundaries and focus on what matters to each person.
• Be flexible with hours to align with people’s needs, including weekend shifts where available.
