Job summary

Access Community Health in Rotorua is hiring kaiāwhina to support tāngata in their homes with daily living activities, honoring culture and values.

No qualifications or prior experience required; comprehensive paid training and flexible hours to suit study, family, or commitments. Weekend availability essential with extra pay.

Fixed-term from November 2026 to January 2027; drivers license and smartphone required. Travel time and mileage are paid; weekend allowances apply.

Your role is to provide safe, respectful, person-centeredsupport in people’s homes, including being mindful of what matters to them, their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries.

OurKaiāwhinaSkills Framework training takes place during your first two–four weeks of employment and includes:

  • Support through structured induction, ongoing training, refreshers, and clear development pathways.
  • Online self-directed learning
  • Working alongside abuddytrainer

This is a fixed-term position from November 2026 - January 2027. Please note that working public holidays (25th - 26th of December, 1st and 2nd of January) will be a requirement for this role.
