Job summary

Nurse Maude is seeking permanent full-time and part-time support workers to join our Homecare team in Nelson, in the Nelson Tasman region. You will work within the community to support individuals to live happy and meaningful lives, following care plans and providing personal care and household assistance.

The role requires a NZ driver licence and reliable transport, a caring and professional approach, and the ability to work across mornings, evenings, and weekends with guaranteed hours for

Qualifications

• Be professional, honest, and reliable.
• Be friendly in your approach, passionate about working with people, and providing a high level of care for our clients.
• Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending, crouching, and long periods of time on your feet.
• Hold a full New Zealand driver licence and have your own reliable transport.
• Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community.

We are now seeking permanent full time and part time support workers to join our Homecare team in Nelson.

Te Mahi/About the Position

As a Support Worker in Nelson you will be working within the community supporting a variety of individuals to support them to live happy and meaningful lives. A day in this role will see you:

• Following a care plan, to provide support with personal care and household duties,
• Completing such tasks as assistance with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support, hosiery application; housework and meal preparation supports,
• Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community,
• Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits,
• Representing Nurse Maude in your professional presentation and approach to each client and their Whanau,

Hours of work:

• We are seeking employees to work approximately 20 - 40 hours per week.
• Operating Monday through Sunday, the successful permanent applicants will be offered guaranteed hours and agreed work times, inclusive of morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Having availability to work at least alternate weekends ispreferred
