Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Support Lead for our Christchurch Syd Bradley Road Processing Centre. You will lead a high performing processing team, coordinate parcel flow, and ensure timely data capture and system updates. The role reports to the Floor Manager and acts as 2IC in their absence.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong logistics knowledge, and is available for Monday to Friday 5pm–1:30am shifts. Onsite facilities and a values-based culture are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the parcel processing team at Syd Bradley Road Processing Centre.

• Support budget and resource planning for the Processing area.

Support Lead - ChristchurchOperational Leadership$29.93 per hour + night shift allowanceMonday to Friday 5pm - 1.30amKorero mo te turanga - About the role:You might recognise this role as a Charge Hand - the roles are very similar. Day to day, you are there to support our high performing processing team who are responsible for parcel sorting at our Syd Bradley Road Processing Centre.You'll engage and support the team by communicating and setting objectives. The Support Leader is also responsible for ensuring NZ Post's parcel and mail product is processed in a timely and efficient manner. This includes meeting consistently high service standards through effective management of parcel flow and continuous improvement. You'll also manage the accurate and timely capture of data ensuring all systems are updated as per operational requirements.Reporting to (and acting as, in their absence, a 2IC) to the Floor Manager, you'll provide support in leading the team in accordance with NZ Post's values and vision as well as managing resources within the operational needs and budget for the Processing area.You will need to be the type of person who takes a hands-on approach, demonstrating a commitment to safety and fostering a high performing, positive team culture.
