Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer at our Mowbray Street, Christchurch branch. You will sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight to ready our couriers for delivery, with on-call support to cover sickness, leave and peak periods.

This role requires physical stamina and good geographical knowledge. On-call shifts are between 2am and 10am, with an hourly rate of 26.75 NZD and a night-shift premium where applicable.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be available for on-call shifts between 2am and 10am.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Strong attention to detail and local geography knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort and consolidate parcels and freight at Mowbray Street branch.
• Dispatch parcels to couriers for delivery.
• Support peak freight periods as needed.
