Job summary

NZ Post is seeking a Floor Manager for the Auckland Operations Centre (East Tamaki). You will provide frontline leadership on the processing floor, managing a team to achieve productivity and safety targets, while partnering with the Operations Leader and Manager to execute the plan.

Shift pattern is Sunday to Thursday with specified hours. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in logistics/warehouse settings, strong people leadership, and excellent organisation and communication skills

Floor ManagerOperational Floor Management roleSupporting our processing at our Auckland Operations Centre, East TamakiShift: Sunday to Thursday. Sunday 11:30-20:00. Monday to Thursday 14:00-22:30Korero mo te turanga - About the roleDue to an internal promotion, we are on the hunt for a Floor Manager. In this role, you will provide support to the Operations Leader in managing the freight processing operations to its optimal efficiency by using the automated sorter.You'll be spending time on the processing floor working with and leading your teams as well as working alongside the Operations Manager, in implementing and managing the agreed operational plan, ensuring productivity and service targets are met.You'll do this through:Leading by example with Safety and Wellbeing; growing a culture that ensures a `Safety Always' principle in all aspects of day-to-day operations.People leadership functions including rostering, performance management, coaching and development, and co-ordination of training.Lead the processing team on the shift they are responsible for.Ensuring production plans are delivered/meeting the expected productivity and service targets.Ensuring production plans are delivered and you and your team are meeting the expected productivity and service targetsMou - About youBe at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe workflow on the floor. You'll have supervisory experience gained from working in the processing/manufacturing and/or logistics environment. You will have a knack for managing people in conjunction with ensuring the smooth production.
