Job summary

Propellerhead is seeking a Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to operate and improve our production systems. You will own incidents from triage to resolution and work with System Reliability, QualOps, and TechOps specialists on business hours support.

This role requires regular in-person office attendance and is based in Auckland. We welcome applicants from across New Zealand and internationally who plan to relocate.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a similar Support Engineer role or equivalent.
• Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with Azure and Linux.
• Experience with network configuration on Azure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience using AI tools to assist code/document analysis.
• Comfort interacting with a diverse range of clients.
• Strong desire to learn and upskill.

Responsibilities

• Triaging support issues in real-time and determining next steps.
• Investigating root causes and resolving incidents.
• Monitoring progress and communicating status to clients.
• Implementing proactive changes and contributing to improvements.
• Participating in technical reviews and sharing ideas.
• Completing incident reports with mitigation recommendations.
• Implementing solutions with core development teams.
• Documenting system architecture and deployment processes.
