Job summary

Propellerhead is seeking a Support Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to operate and improve our production systems. You will work with a team to own incidents from triage to resolution, contribute to DevOps, and help improve reliability and observability.

You should have a Software Engineering or Computer Science background, strong English communication, and comfort working with Azure and Linux in a hybrid Auckland-based role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a dedicated Support Engineer role or in a position with strong operational responsibility and client engagement.
• Technical education such as a Software Engineering or Computer Science degree.
• Experience with Azure and Linux; knowledge of network configuration on Azure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to interact with a diverse range of clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Triage support issues in real time and verify symptoms, impact, and responsibility for further investigation.
• Investigate root causes and resolve incidents; monitor progress and communicate updates to clients.
• Contribute to DevOps activities and improve system reliability and observability.
• Draft incident reports with recommendations for mitigation and participate in technical reviews.
• Implement solutions in partnership with core development teams; document architecture and deployment processes.
