Job summary

OneSchool Global Maungaturoto Campus is seeking a Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to help a small group of primary students with learning needs.

You will support independent learning, keep students engaged and collaborate with teachers to tailor support strategies. Flexible days and start times; 9 hours per week; 40 weeks per year. ASAP start with above market rate remuneration.

Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide)

Do you have a passion for helping students thrive in their education?

OneSchool Global Maungaturoto Campus is looking for a committed Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to join our team. This role focuses on supporting a small group of primary students (4-5) with learning support needs.

About the Role:

Work with a small group of primary aged students.

Support the students with their independent learning needs.

Assist in keeping students engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning goals.

Collaborate with teachers to ensure the best support strategies are in place.

Create strategies to engage students in the Study.

Support with planning.

What We’re Looking For:

A caring and patient approach with a passion for helping students succeed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathetic and patient approach to their support

Ability to work independently while following structured learning plans.

Previous experience working with students who have learning challenges is preferred.

Hours: 9 hours per week, starting at approx 09:30 am, We are flexible with the days of week and start/finish times. Can be across 2 or 3 days.

Weeks: This role is a 40 weeks per annum position. School holidays off.

Start Date: ASAP

Remuneration: Above market rate higher than public school.
