Job summary

OneSchool Global Maungaturoto Campus is seeking a Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) to help a small group of primary students with learning needs.

You will support independent learning, keep students engaged and collaborate with teachers to tailor support strategies. Flexible days and start times; 9 hours per week; 40 weeks per year. ASAP start with above market rate remuneration.

Qualifications

• Caring and patient approach to support students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient learner advocate.
• Ability to work independently within structured plans.
• Previous experience with students facing learning challenges preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a small group of primary students with learning needs.
• Assist with independent learning and staying on track with goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement support strategies.
• Create strategies to engage students in Studies.
• Assist with planning and day-to-day classroom activities.
