Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a Schools and Community Engagement Adviser to strengthen connections with secondary schools, students, whānau, and school communities. You’ll be part of the student recruitment journey, helping attract high-achieving students and positioning UoA as a university of choice.

You’ll own an assigned portfolio of schools, build trusted relationships with students, teachers and careers advisers, and deliver engaging presentations.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with schools and communities.
• Analytical mindset to turn trends into insights and actions.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with schools, careers advisers and school communities.
• Represent the University at visits, events and engagement opportunities.
• Deliver engaging presentations to students, teachers and leaders.
• Support recruitment of high-achieving secondary students and pathways.
• Work across faculties to create a connected prospective student experience.
• Use data to identify trends and inform outreach strategies.
