Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a Schools and Community Engagement Adviser to strengthen connections with secondary schools, students, whānau, and school communities. You’ll own an assigned portfolio of schools, build relationships with careers advisers, deliver engaging presentations, and support events and initiatives across faculties.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work with data to identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an assigned portfolio of schools and be the first contact for students, teachers, careers advisers and communities.
• Represent at school visits, information evenings, events and engagement opportunities.
• Deliver confident, engaging presentations to students, teachers and school leaders.
• Support attraction and engagement of high-achieving secondary students, incl. Cambridge and IB pathways.
• Use data to identify trends, opportunities and focus areas.
• Develop tailored resources, digital content and activities for different audiences.
• Organise and deliver major University events and initiatives.
• Collaborate across faculties, communications, student services and other teams to create a connected experience for prospective students.
• Contribute to projects to make exploring UoA easier and more engaging for students and whānau.
