The University of Auckland is seeking a Student Support Advisor to work directly with students, identifying and addressing their support needs to improve their experience and success. This on-site role supports retention objectives and collaborates with mentors and university staff across faculties and clinical sites.

Three full-time positions are available, with a salary range of NZ$63,600–NZ$79,300, depending on skills and experience; flexible and equity-focused service delivery is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering academic and pastoral support for students.
• Experience in environments with high levels of customer service.
• Understanding of equity issues in New Zealand.
• Demonstrates problem solving with good judgement.

Responsabilités

• Identify students at risk and high achieving students and build support plans.
• Create, implement and review learning support programmes and ongoing operational support.
• Monitor progress of support plans and adapt as needed.
• Build strong relationships with central support functions to assist students.
• Provide equity advocacy and guidance to students.
