Job summary

UniLodge Canterbury is seeking a Residential Life Coordinator to join our team. The role focuses on delivering events, engaging residents and supporting wellbeing across the halls in Christchurch.

Working afternoons and evenings, you will help residents connect, plan activities and create an inclusive, safe residential environment. Police Vetting is a requirement for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience planning and delivering events, activities or engagement programmes.
• Experience with student or community-focused environments preferred.
• Ability to respond with good judgement, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver engaging events and community initiatives to uplift residents.
• Create opportunities that strengthen student connection, wellbeing and belonging.
• Build positive relationships with residents and maintain a visible presence within the halls.
• Provide initial support to students experiencing wellbeing, personal or academic challenges.
• Respond calmly to student concerns and incidents; support with safety and wellbeing.
• Complete event administration, communications, purchasing and other tasks.
• Contribute to emergency and incident responses during rostered hours.
