Job summary

The New Zealand Intelligence Community is seeking a leader to head the Workforce Management and Analytics function, overseeing a specialist team delivering workforce planning, analytics and people insights to support the GCSB and NZSIS.

Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, People & Capability, you will translate data into strategic advice, drive modelling and reporting, and collaborate with Finance, Payroll and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a specialist analytics/workforce team.
• Ability to translate complex workforce data into practical recommendations for executives.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior leaders.
• Expertise in workforce management, analytics, or remuneration/workforce costing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of workforce management and analytics specialists.
• Set the strategic direction for workforce management and analytics across the NZ Intelligence Community.
• Support personnel budgeting, partnering with Finance for costing, forecasting and insights.
• Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of workforce reporting and insights.
• Drive adoption of modern workforce planning practices and self-service reporting.
