Job summary

New Zealand Defence Force – Wellington Central, North Island, invites applications for the Advisor Business and Workforce Management role. You will support Defence Logistics Command’s workforce, establishment, and business processes, providing specialist advice and coordinating financial reporting and governance activities.

The role involves analysing workforce and financial data, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering recommendations to inform planning and resource decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in workforce, financial, or business management within a complex organisation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workforce administration, establishment management, financial reporting, compliance activities, and business improvement initiatives to support organisational effectiveness and strategic objectives.
• Analyse workforce and financial information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide advice and recommendations to inform planning, reporting, and resource management decisions.
• Provide specialist advice, coordinate workforce and establishment management activities, support financial administration and reporting requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement of organisational systems and governance practices.
