Job summary

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Auckland or Wellington seeks an experienced workforce planning professional to join a newly established central hub. You will lead forecasting, rostering optimisation, reporting and analytics across multiple residential sites and youth justice environments, influencing safety and service delivery.

You will work with operational leaders to identify workforce needs, manage complex scheduling, and turn data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in workforce planning, rostering and workforce reporting.
• Experience supporting large operational workforces in 24/7 custodial care environments.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Ability to translate workforce data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce forecasting, rostering optimisation, reporting and analytics.
• Support 24/7 residential and youth justice environments across NZ sites.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify workforce needs and staffing challenges.
• Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and workforce excellence.
