New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) Wellington seeks a Technical Analyst to tackle complex data challenges within the Technology and Data Directorate. You will apply high-end data science techniques to uncover actionable intelligence and support national security objectives.

You will operate at the edge of your expertise, building tools and novel approaches while collaborating with analysts. This permanent role offers challenging projects and a security-focused environment in Wellington.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field with data science or software experience.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies and ability to build/deploy new tools.
• Experience with data pipelines and modern infrastructure.
• Ability to translate complex findings for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Solve Complex Puzzles: use advanced data analysis to generate critical intelligence leads.
• Build the Toolkit: create/refine tools for data collection and interpretation.
• Keep the data flowing: design/build/maintain high-performance dataflows across NZIC.
