Job summary

Heartland Bank is seeking a Senior Treasury Manager to lead securitisation, funding programmes and risk management across the banking group. You will drive liquidity forecasting, wealth of relationships with funders and rating agencies, and provide insights for ALCO and Board reporting.

The role requires extensive treasury experience in banking, strong modelling skills, and proven leadership to develop a high-performing Treasury team within a dynamic, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Treasury experience within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience managing securitisation programmes and wholesale funding structures.
• Strong expertise in interest rate risk management and hedging.
• Knowledge of liquidity management and prudential regulation.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Collaborative leadership style with high-performing teams.
• Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities, including Excel.
• Experience in regulated banking environments in NZ/Australia is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead securitisation and funding programmes.
• Manage securitisation programmes and warehouse funding facilities.
• Maintain relationships with funders, trustees, rating agencies.
• Oversee facility drawdowns, reporting and servicing reviews.
• Ensure hedging arrangements and programme structures remain fit for purpose.
• Drive market risk management across the banking group.
• Provide recommendations on hedging strategies within risk limits.
• Prepare and present insights for ALCO, Board and Executive reporting.
• Partner with senior leaders on funding, pricing, risk and balance sheet initiatives.
• Coach and develop Treasury team members.
