Job summary

Heartland Bank LTD is seeking an experienced Treasury leader to join our Finance team and take ownership of funding, securitisation, liquidity and interest-rate risk across the banking group in New Zealand. Reporting to the Deputy Group Treasurer, you will run securitisation programmes, manage market risk and support liquidity and balance sheet management, while stepping in for the Deputy as required.

This is a broad leadership role with exposure to ALCO, Board reporting, and strategic funding

Qualifications

• Extensive Treasury experience within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience managing securitisation programmes and wholesale funding structures.
• Strong expertise in interest rate risk management, hedging and balance sheet optimisation.
• Sound understanding of liquidity management, prudential regulation and Treasury governance.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, governance committees and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead securitisation and funding programmes.
• Drive market risk management across the banking group.
• Support liquidity and balance sheet management, including forecasting.
• Influence strategic decision-making with ALCO, Board and executives.
• Lead and develop the Treasury team and drive process improvements.
