Job summary

Heartland Bank LTD is seeking a Treasury Manager for a 9-month fixed-term contract in Newmarket. You will manage liquidity, funding, and risk across the bank, reporting to the Deputy Group Treasurer and supporting strategic decisions.

With at least five years in treasury, you will oversee regulatory reporting, capital and FX risk, and provide insights to senior leaders. The role offers exposure to ALCO, securitisation, and market risk activities.

Qualifications

• Five years of treasury experience in banking or financial services.
• Qualification related to finance, economics, or quantitative analysis; CA/CFA/FRM highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash position and liquidity metrics.
• Oversee regulatory liquidity reporting (RBNZ BS13).
• Monitor funding and liquidity forecasts for senior management.
• Support management of liquidity, capital, and market risks within risk appetite.
• Contribute to liquidity stress testing and regulatory obligations.
• Prepare ALCO/GALCO and Board reporting; support rating agencies and audits.
• Build relationships with banking counterparties and funding providers.
• Assist with securitisation programmes and treasury transactions.
