Job summary

Heartland is seeking a Senior Treasury Manager to lead securitisation, funding programs and liquidity management across Heartland Bank’s NZ and Australian operations. You will own interest rate and FX risk management, oversee hedging strategies and partner with Finance, Risk and regulatory teams to shape funding decisions.

You’ll influence ALCO and Board reporting while driving treasury governance, controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

Extensive Treasury experience within banking or financial services.
Proven experience managing securitisation programmes and wholesale funding structures.
Strong expertise in interest rate risk management, hedging and balance sheet optimisation.
Sound understanding of liquidity management, prudential regulation and Treasury governance.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, governance committees and regulators.
Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities, including strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Lead securitisation and funding programmes for Heartland Bank, managing warehouse facilities and drawdowns.
Oversee measurement and management of interest rate and FX risk across the banking group.
Support liquidity forecasting, funding strategy, and market transactions including CP issuance.
Provide insights for ALCO, Board and Executive reporting and support strategic projects.
Coach and develop Treasury team members and drive process improvements.
