Job summary

Lightforce Solar in Auckland seeks a Technical Strategy and Innovation Advisor to shape technology strategy across renewable energy, electrification, and AI. You will monitor trends, evaluate new technologies, and provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and leadership.

With 15+ years in engineering or related sectors, you will lead feasibility studies, build business cases, and foster partnerships with universities, suppliers and research organisations, driving growth and operational

Qualifications

15+ years' experience in engineering, technology, manufacturing, innovation, or related sectors.
Proven ability to evaluate, develop, commercialise, or implement new technologies.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Translate technical information into practical business recommendations.
Experience engaging with senior executives, suppliers, or strategic partners.

Responsibilities

Monitor emerging technologies and market trends across renewable energy, electrification, automation, AI, and related sectors.
Identify and evaluate new products, technologies, services and business opportunities for long-term growth.
Provide strategic technical advice to the CEO and senior leadership.
Lead research, feasibility studies, and innovation projects.
Assess suppliers, partners, and strategic investment opportunities.
Support development and commercialisation of new products and revenue streams.
Build relationships with manufacturers, universities, and industry partners.
Bridge technical expertise and commercial decision-making.
