Job summary

Te Tāhū o te Ture – Ministry of Justice in Wellington seeks a Programme Coordinator on a fixed-term, full-time basis to support Te Au Reka across a major reform programme. The role emphasises planning, governance, reporting, risk management, and operational coordination within a dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities with strong stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience providing coordination support in a project or programme.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Self-starter who uses initiative and works in ambiguity.
• Interpersonal skills for working with senior or formal participants.
• Clear written and verbal communication including meeting materials and minutes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination support across project activities and workstreams.
• Assist governance, planning, reporting and risk management activities.
• Support operational coordination and delivery tasks as needed.
• Prepare meeting materials and track actions to completion.
• Foster strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
