Job summary

Ministry of Justice (New Zealand) is seeking a Programme Coordinator for Te Au Reka on a fixed-term, full-time basis in Wellington CBD to support programme activities across multiple workstreams.

The role requires coordinating schedules, producing materials, and maintaining governance, reporting, and risk management processes while building strong relationships with stakeholders to enable successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing coordination support in a project or programme, ideally supporting multiple activities or workstreams.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities, follow processes, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Proactive and reliable self-starter who uses initiative, takes ownership, and is comfortable working in ambiguity, proactively identifying what needs to be done and following it through to completion.
• Well developed interpersonal skills, with experience working professionally with a range of people and supporting meetings or forums involving senior or formal participants.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing meeting materials, taking accurate minutes, tracking actions, and contributing to clear and concise reporting.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams); experience with project/tracking tools such as MS Project or Azure DevOps would be beneficial but is not essential.
