Job summary

Clutha District Council is seeking a motivated Planning Team Leader to guide and develop the Planning Team in Balclutha, NZ. The role focuses on leading resource management planning and consent processing to support the district’s development wishes.

You will oversee the Resource Management Planning functions, drive the consent planning program, and ensure timely processing of resource consent applications, working closely with council staff and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in resource management.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Resource Management or similar.
• Sound practical experience in Local Government or relevant private sector.
• Ability to build positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the Resource Management Planning functions
• Manage and deliver the Consent Planning function of Council
• Process resource consent applications
