Job summary

Clutha District Council is seeking a motivated Planning Officer to join our Planning Team in the Regulatory Services Department. You will process simple applications for resource consents and provide regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders.

You will work in an inclusive team environment to help deliver growth-minded planning services for the Clutha District, with a strong focus on customer service and collaboration within the community.

Qualifications

• Has a Level 5 Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
• Is able to interpret, analyse and present information to explain technical information clearly to meet customers and stakeholders needs.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and capable of working independently.
• Is committed to providing high-quality customer service in response to enquires.

Responsibilities

• Process simple applications for resource consents
• Carry out administrative processing of planning, compliance and other regulatory applications as required
• Provide technical planning and regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders in response to enquires
