Job summary

The Financial Markets Authority – Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko in Auckland is seeking an experienced Adviser, Internal and External Communications to join the Communications and Delivery team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will contribute to the Agency's strategic priorities through engaging content across channels.

You will manage social media, produce high‑quality written and visual content, support podcasts, and help update the intranet and Viva Engage.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editorial experience (3+ years) across multiple audiences.
• Excellent editing and content creation skills.
• Experience producing content for multiple channels.
• Knowledge of social media trends and engagement strategies.
• Experience with social media monitoring, measurement and analytics.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook, X and paid media channels.
• Analytical, planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to establish credibility and exercise influence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the FMA's social media channels and online communities.
• Create high‑quality written, visual and multimedia content.
• Support the delivery and promotion of the FMA's podcast programme.
• Manage and update internal channels including Ātea intranet and Viva Engage.
• Lead graphic design work and create visual assets for digital and print channels.
• Monitor, measure and evaluate social media performance and engagement.
• Support planning and delivery of communications campaigns and projects.
• Provide trusted communications advice across the organisation.
