Job summary

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council in Napier, NZ, is seeking a Communications Advisor for a full-time fixed-term role through to June 2027. You will deliver high-quality internal and external communications, develop engaging content across channels, and support media and stakeholder engagement to bring Council initiatives to life.

You will work closely with the Community and Partnerships team to support strategic priorities, Long Term Plan, and organisational activities, building trusted relationships

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in communications or public relations.
• Ability to develop content for multiple channels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content across a variety of channels.
• Provide practical communications advice to teams.
• Support media and stakeholder engagement activities.
