Job summary

RealNZ is seeking a Senior People & Performance Advisor to partner with leaders across our diverse operations in Queenstown and beyond. You’ll combine hands-on HR advisory with strategic insight to shape teams, build capability and drive practical, high-quality people outcomes.

You’ll lead complex employee relations, coach leaders, support organisational change and workforce planning, and apply NZ employment laws and immigration processes.

Qualifications

• Substantial HR advisory experience at a senior level with autonomous portfolio management.
• Strong employee relations expertise, including investigations, disciplinary matters and performance management.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at different levels.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed, multi-site or operationally complex businesses.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation and practical application.
• Experience supporting New Zealand immigration processes.
• Commercial judgement balancing employee experience, priorities and risk.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a collaborative knowledge-sharing approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes and performance management.
• Coach and influence leaders to strengthen confidence, capability and accountability.
• Guide organisational change from planning through consultation and implementation.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment and people priorities.
• Provide practical NZ employment law and immigration advice when needed.
• Identify trends and risks and translate into recommendations and actions.
• Drive improvements to people practices and processes for leaders and teams.
• Share expertise across the People & Performance team.
