Job summary

Bank of New Zealand is seeking a Business Development Manager within Growth Sectors to turn BNZ’s Growth Sectors strategy into action. You’ll blend strategic thinking, commercial sense and relationship expertise to uncover and progress opportunities that create real value for BNZ and customers.

You’ll work with Growth Sectors leaders and a nationwide network of relationship bankers to originate, develop and execute initiatives that support NZ businesses and BNZ’s growth.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in finance or business community with proven relationship management and business development capabilities.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial services and drivers of business success.
• Ability to present plans and outcomes to senior leaders and large groups.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Support delivery of sector strategies across multiple project streams.
• Embed new strategies across the Bank by bringing the right people together and building support for change.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of strategic projects, propositions and policy initiatives.
• Identify business development opportunities through networks and thought leadership.
• Partner with frontline bankers to originate, develop and execute financing opportunities.
