Job summary

Alpine Energy in Timaru seeks an experienced Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis. You will translate complex financial information into insights for senior stakeholders and drive long-term planning.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage a small team and collaborate with business leaders to evaluate investments, monitor performance, and ensure robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or be working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term financial planning.
• Provide commercial insights, scenario analysis and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment proposals, business cases, projects and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee management reporting, financial performance analysis, capital and operating expenditure, and project monitoring.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury reporting and banking activities.
• Ensure the integrity of fixed asset reporting, financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop your team, fostering a collaborative, accountable and high-performing culture.
