Job summary

Alpine Energy in Timaru seeks an experienced Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis across the organisation. This newly created role combines finance expertise with strategic thinking and business partnering to drive performance and long-term value.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead a small team and collaborate with senior leaders to translate complex financial information into actionable insights that support

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of finance experience across planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
• Strong modelling, scenario analysis and investment appraisal skills.
• Proven business partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting tools proficiency.
• Knowledge of governance and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term planning.
• Provide commercial insights, scenario analyses and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment proposals and business cases.
• Oversee management reporting, financial performance analysis and project monitoring.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury reporting and banking activities.
• Ensure integrity of fixed asset reporting and financial controls.
