Alpine Energy is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting and commercial analysis across the organisation. Based in Timaru, this newly created role combines strong technical finance with strategic thinking to drive performance and long-term value.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification, or be working towards one.
• Approximately seven or more years of finance experience across FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
• Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis, investment appraisal and business case evaluation skills.
• Proven business partnering experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of management reporting, capital and operating expenditure, fixed assets, financial controls and governance.
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and development capability.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting or data visualization tools proficiency (Power BI).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long-term financial planning.
• Provide commercial insights, scenario analysis and recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment proposals, business cases, projects and initiatives.
• Oversee management reporting, financial performance analysis, capex/opex, and project monitoring.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury reporting and banking activities.
• Ensure integrity of fixed asset reporting, financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop your team to foster a high-performing culture.
