Job summary

Alpine Energy seeks an experienced Financial Planning & Reporting Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning and reporting across the organisation. Based in Timaru, you will partner with senior stakeholders and drive commercial insights to support strategic decisions.

You’ll manage a small team, oversee treasury activities and asset reporting, and champion governance and regulatory compliance while shaping the organisation’s financial future.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification required or in progress.
• 7+ years of finance experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
• Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment appraisal skills.
• Proven business partnering experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of management reporting, capital/operating expenditure and governance.
• Demonstrated people leadership and development capability.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting/data visualisation tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and long‑term planning.
• Provide commercial insights, scenario analysis and recommendations for decision making.
• Partner with leaders to evaluate investment proposals and business cases.
• Oversee management reporting, financial performance analysis and project monitoring.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury reporting and banking activities.
• Ensure integrity of fixed asset reporting and financial controls.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop the FP&A team.
