Job summary

Plus Group in New Zealand is growing and seeks a skilled Lead Finance Operations professional to blend strategic thinking with hands-on financial delivery.

Reporting to the CEO, you will manage cash flow, monthly and annual reporting, tax obligations, and platform administration across FinPower, LMS and Xero, while leading governance and stakeholder engagement.

You will drive process improvements, mentor staff, and ensure compliance for borrowers and investors within a growing NZ finance business.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years accounting and finance experience at a senior level.
• Experience in preparation of Financial Reports for office holders and external parties.
• Proven experience within the NZ SME sector.
• Strong leadership and ethical accountability.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing company cash flow and financial operations.
• Preparing monthly and annual financial reporting including preparation of specialist reports as required.
• End-of-month and end-of-year processes.
• Providing financial insights and reports to Directors.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies.
• Managing finance platforms including FinPower, LMS, and Xero.
• Overseeing GST, payroll, and Resident Withholding Tax obligations.
• Supporting borrower and investor administration and compliance.
