Job summary

Randstad Digital New Zealand is seeking a Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to own NZ accounting operations, treasury, and reporting while partnering with the China HQ. You will drive controls, compliance, and accurate financial insight for a growing FMCG operation in New Zealand.

You will work closely with local leadership and the broader global finance team, balancing hands-on accounting with strategic ownership to support rapid expansion and robust financial foundations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience across NZ accounting and financial operations.
• Sound knowledge of NZ tax, IRD requirements and financial compliance.
• Experience managing month-end, reporting and financial controls.
• Commercial experience in FMCG, manufacturing, supply chain or another product-based environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Mandarin and English fluency is strongly preferred due to China HQ relationship.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and month-end close.
• Prepare financial and management reporting with clear insights.
• Analyse variances and drive improvements in processes and controls.
• Oversee NZ tax including GST, FBT and income tax and support year-end audits.
• Act as the key finance contact between NZ and China-based teams.
