Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Bid Manager to drive growth by supporting the sales lifecycle and delivering high‑quality proposals. You will lead virtual teams, ensure well‑articulated and commercially viable bids, and maintain a robust proposal toolkit while building strong stakeholder relationships across NZ and AU markets.

The role sits within the Infrastructure Products Bids team and focuses on major opportunities, EOIs, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, with a strong emphasis on governance, risk, and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and leading bids and proposals.
• Strong communication and analytical skills for complex tenders.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Proven track record in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead virtual teams to develop responses for complex tenders and major proposals (EOIs, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
• Mentor junior staff and foster best practice in bid management.
• Coordinate qualification, risk assessment and review processes for opportunities.
• Oversee the proposal process, content acquisition and internal reviews.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and opportunity owners.
