Thode Knife and Saw Ltd – Rotorua, North Island

Thode Knife & Saw is looking for an organised, hands‑on and detail‑focused Stores & Inventory Coordinator to join our Rotorua team.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys keeping things organised, takes pride in getting the details right, and is comfortable working in a busy manufacturing and industrial environment.

As our Stores & Inventory Coordinator, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of inventory and stores, ensuring stock is accurately recorded, safely stored and available when needed. You’ll also play an important role in receiving and despatching goods, supporting purchasing and invoicing, and assisting the wider Rotorua operation when required.

What you’ll be responsible for

Receiving, checking, recording and correctly storing incoming goods.

Issuing stock to production and service teams.

Completing regular stock counts and investigating discrepancies.

Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient stores environment.

Managing the storage and control of saw steel and other high‑value materials.

Raising purchase orders and coordinating local and imported stock requirements.

Preparing customer orders, packing slips, job cards and despatch documentation.

Packaging and preparing goods for domestic and export shipments.

Processing stock‑related invoicing and ensuring system records are accurate.

Maintaining accurate pricing, quantities and stock locations within Accredo.

Supporting the Purchasing and Finance teams with inventory and cost control.

Ensuring hazardous goods are stored and managed safely and appropriately.

Supporting branch administration, including job card costing, stock allocation and invoicing.

Providing occasional support to the factory with production and service work.

Assisting with pickups and deliveries when required.

Contributing to continuous improvement across stores, inventory and workflow processes.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and practical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Ideally, you will have:

2–3 years’ experience in a stores, inventory, warehousing or logistics role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Good knowledge of inventory control and stores processes.

Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Experience with inventory or ERP systems – Accredo experience would be an advantage.

A practical understanding of safe storage and handling practices.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a range of people.

A proactive, flexible approach and willingness to pitch in wherever required.

This is more than a traditional stores role. You’ll be an important part of the Rotorua operation, working closely with production, administration, purchasing, finance and management to keep stock, orders and day‑to‑day operations running smoothly.

If you’re someone who likes variety, takes ownership of your work and enjoys being part of a hands‑on team, we’d love to hear from you.
