Job description

We are looking for Store Manager to join our team at our Hamilton based Dairy store. As a Store Manager you will handle ALL the Store Operations responsibly and play a crucial role in customers have an exceptional shopping experience. You will be working independently at our busy store which has great foot and vehicle traffic, and oversee ALL the staff including duty managers, in the business.

Job Type: Permanent, Full time - 30 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster.

Pay Bracket: Minimum $30.00 per hour, and the Employer is willing to go up to $35.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Occupational health and safety regulations
• Determining product mix, stock levels, waste reduction and service standards
• Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies and setting prices of all products and ensuring it is displayed accurately.
• Determining, Promoting and advertising the store's Prices, Promotions and Special Prices
• Upselling to customers and introducing new trendy products to the store
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions and updating Council requirements from time to time.
• Completing Council Book and regular store requirements, Daily
• Undertaking budgeting for the establishment and assessing Gross profit measures
• Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff. Providing feedback and Maintaining Paperwork, Building the staff morale

We are looking for candidates with the preferred attributes:

• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, and public holidays as per the store timings from Monday to Sunday
• Relevant qualification, OR Relevant experience of 2 years, OR A bachelor's degree or Higher qualification in any field will be accepted for this role
• Communication skills and Handling customers professionally
• Great presentation and Personal Hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• To be considered for this role you must be in NZ, and either be an NZ resident, citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full time.
