Job summary

• Oversee financial operations such as daily banking, budgeting, cash handling, and monitoring expenses.
• Ensure compliance with legal, health, safety, and quality standards.
• Promote the business locally through community engagement, advertisements, and promotions.

SomerField Dairy, a well-established convenience store in SomerField, Christchurch, is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Our store operates Monday to Sunday, from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and control the daily operations of the retail store to ensure effective sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement purchasing, marketing, and pricing strategies to maximise sales and maintain competitive advantage.
• Analyse sales figures, monitor trends, and forecast future sales volumes to support business growth.
• Manage stock control processes, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Supervise and coordinate staff activities, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling.

To be eligible, the candidate must have:

• Either: an NZ Register Level 4 qualification (or equivalent or higher), OR

Pay and Conditions
