Job summary

Auckland City Sando Limited is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy retail team in Auckland. The role requires overseeing product mix, pricing, promotions and daily store operations to maximize sales and ensure excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have AZQF Diploma or higher, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to manage staff and budgets under pressure. Proficiency in Mandarin/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week (minimum 30 guaranteed paid hours)

Salary: NZD $35.00 – $38.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Pay range for several other posted roles: NZD $38.50 – $40.00 per hour; NZD $26 (low salary range) – $40 (high salary range); NZD $28–32 per hour; $32–$36 per hour

Number of positions: 1

Duration: Permanent fulltime – 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Person Specification

Korean or Japanese language ability is preferred.

Experience communicating with Asian customers is advantageous.

Qualifications & Additional Skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Marketing, Business, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Understanding of customer purchasing behaviour, market trends and retail sales performance is advantageous.
  • Experience working with international visitors or in tourism‑focused retail is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand products is advantageous.
