Job summary

Downer Gisborne is seeking an experienced Bitumen Sprayer Operator to join our outdoor team. You will operate and maintain emulsion sprayer equipment on chip sealing and surfacing works across Gisborne and wider North Island.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Driver Licence minimum (Class 4 preferred).
• Experience operating an SRE sprayer.
• Experience in road surfacing, sealing, civil construction, or a similar industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining equipment to a high standard.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Operate emulsion sprayer equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver chip sealing and surfacing works across Gisborne and the North Island.
• Maintain and service sprayer equipment to a high standard.
• Work within an experienced crew to meet project quality goals.

As a Bitumen Sprayer Operator, you'll play a critical role in delivering chip sealing and surfacing works across Gisborne and wider North Island.

Working within an experienced and supportive crew, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining emulsion sprayer equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring high-quality outcomes for our customers and communities.

We're looking for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and takes pride in their work.
