Job summary

Madison Recruitment is assisting a leading New Zealand conference organiser to recruit a Sponsorship & Exhibition Executive in Auckland. You will manage sponsor and exhibitor relationships and help develop opportunities across multiple conferences and events.

You will liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure sponsorship goals are met, deliver exceptional service, and contribute to the success of high-profile events.

Qualifications

  • Experience in account management, sponsorship, stakeholder engagement, client services, events, or a related role.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative capability.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities that create value for clients and partners.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confidence navigating conversations, managing expectations, and finding solutions when challenges arise.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage sponsor and exhibitor accounts from initial engagement through to event delivery.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and ensure sponsorship offerings align with event goals.
  • Develop tailored sponsorship and exhibition opportunities that provide value for all parties.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to clients regarding sponsorship and exhibition activity.
  • Coordinate sponsorship agreements, contracts, and associated documentation.
  • Ensure sponsors and exhibitors receive a high level of service and support throughout their involvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting to support event planning and financial management.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure sponsorship commitments are delivered successfully.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to enhance sponsorship and exhibition programmes across future events.

About the Role

We areseeking a Sponsorship & Exhibition Executive to join their team and support the successful delivery of sponsorship and exhibition programmes across a portfolio of conferences and events.

This is a relationship-focused role where you’ll act as the key point of contact for sponsors and exhibitors, building trusted partnerships and ensuring participants receive exceptional service throughout their event journey. Working closely with clients and project teams, you’ll help develop sponsorship opportunities, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the overall success of each event.

This role would suit someone who enjoys account management, stakeholder engagement, and nurturing long-term business relationships in a professional services environment. This a full time position based in Grey Lynn – Auckland.

Key Responsibilities
