Job summary

Wither Hills in Blenheim is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a small, passionate team focused on quality, safety and brand experience. You’ll work under the Head Chef, covering lunch seven days and Friday & Saturday dinner, with a 35+ hour workweek and a competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Qualifications

• - Experience in a similar role, in a professional kitchen environment
• - The ability to work in a fast-paced, quality driven hospitality environment
• - Experience with Food Control Plan, rostering, and financial management of a kitchen
• - The drive for wanting to be better every day and don't mind getting your hands dirty!

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Contribute to delivering high-quality food and wine experiences
• Help manage rostering and cost control in the kitchen
• Maintain safety, hygiene and food handling standards
