Ryman Healthcare is recruiting an experienced sous Chef at Jane Winstone Retirement Village in Whanganui for a casual position covering annual and sick leave. Join a team that values nutritious, beautifully prepared meals and a true commitment to residents' well-being.

In this role you will collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver meals that are reviewed as 'good enough for mum', provide coverage for the Senior Lead Chef, prepare meals from seasonal menus, cater to dietary needs and uphold

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate in Cookery (level 3) is required.
• Proven experience as a chef with team leadership.
• Excellent communication and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
• Provide coverage for the Senior Lead Chef during days off.
• Prepare meals from seasonal menus rich in variety, flavour and nutrition.
• Cater to different residents' dietary needs.
• Assist with specialty foods for fine dining experiences and functions.
• Operate with health and safety as a priority at all times.
