Job summary

Ryman Healthcare seeks an experienced Chef for Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke Nelson, NZ. This full-time role covers Tue, Wed 10:30-19:00, Thu 11:00-19:30, and Fri & Sat 08:00-16:30, contributing to a dining experience that supports residents' well-being.

You will lead a kitchen team, plan seasonal menus, and ensure dietary needs are met while upholding high health and safety standards. A stable, supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (level 3) is required.
• Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and running a kitchen.
• A reliable, friendly and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to create an exceptional dining experience that meets residents' needs.
• Provide coverage of the Senior Lead Chef during their days off.
• Prepare meals from seasonal menus with variety, flavor and nutrition.
• Cater to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist with specialty foods for fine dining experiences and events.
• Operate with health and safety as a key consideration at all times.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke Nelson. This is a Full Time position workingTuesday & Wednesday 10:30 - 19:00, Thursday 11:00 - 19:30 and Friday & Saturday: 08:00 - 16:30
